Team Spotlight: Meet Libby Brunell

Our next story is from our teacher.

Meet Libby Brunell.

I have lived most of my life in Montana.  When I graduated college and began my career as a classroom teacher, I never thought that a conversation about guns in schools would impact my life.  Then Columbine, Sandy Hook, Parkland and multiple other school shootings happened and unfortunately, it became part of our daily routines in schools, with active shooter trainings and lockdown drills and evacuation plans.  My two kiddos are in 3rd and 5th grade, and this new reality scares me.

Then I met Joe Anderson, the CEO of Reflex Protect® and learned how the company was revolutionizing non-lethal defense.  As a former educator, I was particularly impressed and excited about the training program, which teaches teachers, workers, nurses, and more how to diffuse difficult, potentially violent situations and how to be their own first responder in the gap between an event happening and the professionals (law enforcement, EMS, etc.) arriving.

Being COO of Reflex Protect® is an inspiring and humbling journey.  The hope this company brings to a world darkened by violence makes me grateful every day.  I’m thankful to work with a team that empowers people to keep themselves and their loved ones safe and helps the world be a little safer for all of us.
